Thank you for posting this Barbara.

A few years back, I talked with my old pioneer partner. She said she quit the religion when a sister with a young child married a fellow JW who had recently moved into their Hall. None of her Elders told her before she married him that he was a known child abuser. They knew but never mentioned it to her. The inevitable happened.

I sincerely with all my heart want everyone associated with JW..org to wake up and LEAVE.

They protect child molesters! What more information do you need than that???

Biblical incidents that bothered me.

i wanted to discuss the (supposed) biblical events that disturbed me a lot when i was a jw.

these incidents were just read and discussed in the kingdom hall as if these are normal and justified, which clearly weren't.

perhaps this led to my awakening.

I read up on Jepthah's daughter after readig CofC. How other translatations read is that yes, she was burnt to a crisp. How awful but how deceitful of WT to make it seem nothing "bad" happened to her. Being cremated, sacrificed by one's own father for his own personal reasons, is pretty disgusting. Not fair to her at all!

Lot's wife bothered me. It is only natural to look back, especially when someone tells you not to. No understanding second chance for her!

But Lot can get drunk and have sex with his two (2) daughters. (When fleeing to the mountains... How many casks of wine does one take... on how many donkeys... So did they flee to a certain spot where there was clean drinking water for people and fodder for the animals and wood to keep warm and enough to cook food? They did bring food and blankets, and fire starter, right?).

Lot is good but wife is bad? Not fair! She is probably the one that packed up the donkeys. Isn't packing always left to the wife? No consideration at all!

Uzziah too. Not fair!

It's been a GREAT week for me!

so as some of you know i have a podcast called this jw life.

i put my story out there in 9 parts, and i've had lots of great experiences so far and met lots of nice people and i've made new internet friends, even some in person.

this last seven days though has been soooooo cool!.

Two issues with mobile site

hi simon, sorry i just thought of two more things:.

on the mobile version (i use android) i can't load images anymore, and when i could (months ago) they would only load in a very low, sometimes unusable resolution.

requesting a desktop version of the site in settings didn't work either, i had to go use a windows desktop.. also, all posts used to say how long ago they were written, but that often essential information no longer shows.. thanks..

Had to say something to a couple of cart women in Bentonville square.

PS I am sure you felt better after telling these 2 JW..org zombie robot women their religion is BS. Let's hope they wake up and start living their OWN dream... instead of playing into the GB's dreams of power, prestige, and world wide control over millions of people, billions of dollars and having a huge property development scheme going on all over the world propped up by free labor. Oh, but JW..org GB's is NOT a dream but their true reality!

And there are suckers born every minute... Glad we are NOT part of their scheme anymore!

it has taken me till now to actually register and contribute.

(actually i did register with a different name in the beginning but never commented).. i am a pimo elder with a fairly long history of senior "positions" in the organization.

Like Flipper and Millie210 said, we are all hoping for old stuck in loved ones, to wake up and post. Hasn't happened yet, but there is always hope.

After doing an all night 12 hour marathon reading Ray Franz's Crisis Of Conscience, I was out of WT, JW..org. After being a born in, I woke up at age 62.

We are all paranoid at first about posting. So we don't expect you to "Post your Photo" anytime soon on Flipper's on going thread. That is sort of a milestone, marking how far you have come in not caring who see's your picture and posting on a site such as this.

So happy for you being awake. Life is so wonderful NOT under JW..org control anymore.
